Montessori Baby Toys from Newborn to 12 Months
Newborn play looks like almost nothing happening. A baby stares at a black and white card, and that staring is the work - the visual system building itself. This collection follows the first year in order: contrast and sound for the early weeks, then grasping, then reaching and rolling, then the sitting-up months when everything gets picked up and examined.
- High-contrast books and cards for newborn visual development
- Soft rattles, wrist rattles and foot finders for body awareness
- Teethers in food-grade silicone for the teething months
- Tummy time mirrors and soft books for neck and core strength
Newborn toys have a short window, which makes it tempting to skip them. The ones worth buying are the ones that stay useful as the baby changes - a tummy time mirror used at six weeks is still used at six months, just differently. Everything here is washable and made from non-toxic materials, since almost all of it ends up in a mouth eventually.
Once your baby is pulling up and cruising, move on to our toys for 1 year olds and sensory toys collections, which pick up exactly where this one ends.
